It is reported from a 15-year CDC study (2009) that 1 in 8 (12.5%) women admitted to using some amount of alcohol while pregnant.

In the state of Arizona, it was estimated that, in 2007, there were over 1,200 newborns born exposed to alcohol.

With a 12.5% alcohol use in pregnancy, it is estimated that there could be as many as

200-300 newborns born in Flagstaff with a FASD each year!
